WHISKEY SUMMIT CONTINUES ITS MISSION--
To Celebrate and Promote Craft Spirits in the Rocky Mountain Region
A Guidebook to Whiskey
Guidebook to Whiskey and Other Distilled Spirits in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming
This year we published the full-color, 224-page Guidebook as a unique compilation that spotlights 111 active producers in the tri-state region, describing hundreds of the products they make, with tasting notes, maps, insightful articles, and more than 150 color graphics.
Order the Guidebook online (Prime eligible) or get it at a local distillery tasting room, bookstore or gift shop in the region.
Blogging the Stories, the Discoveries and the Enjoyment of Craft Spirits
Howell Wright invites you to accompany him in our blog as he explores the whiskeys and other distilled spirits produced in the Rocky Mountain region (and beyond), as well as delightful craft cocktails he'll be making with them. Subscribe to the blog or follow on Facebook and Twitter.
Celebrating Craft Spirits at Tasting Events & Festivals
We're again sponsoring distilled spirits festivals and tasting events to expand appreciation of craft distilling and the rich diversity of products in the Rocky Mountain region.
On November 13, we met with the philanthropic Optimist Club of Boulder to present a 90-minute program surveying the breathtaking expansion of craft distilling in the U.S. and, specifically, in Colorado, which now hosts the fourth or fifth largest number of operating distilleries in the U.S. The program included lively sessions for tasting and discussing four distilled spirit products contributed by Spirit Hound Distillers in nearby Lyons, Colorado.
On October 27, we helped sponsor the Rocky Mountain Craft Spirits Festival in Estes Park—with spirits from almost 30 producers, plus live music and tasty food—where we talked about favorite spirits with many festival goers and autographed our Guidebook!
On September 29, we led the malt whiskey tasting events at the second annual Celtic Fest in Frederick, Colorado (just north of Denver off of I-25).
